Noise spreads easily from one room to another when partitions or floor/ceiling assemblies are acoustically weak. ASTC (FITS) and AIIC (FIIC) acoustical measurements quantify the acoustic insulation performance of walls and floors with respect to airborne noise and impact noise. 


The collected results are compared against the standards and recommendations to establish their compliance. The measures also make it possible to guide the design of the soundproofing means as well as to verify the results.
